The owners of Raginnis also run the Rip Curl-sponsored Global Boarders Surf School and Surf Vacation business. The surf vacations are based around a residential stay where guets can either choose a catered or B&B option, and are driven to the beach each day to have lessons and progress to BSA Diploma level with their surfing. The county is highly accessible from a number of major UK cities with direct trains from London and Birmingham combining other major rail links on its route and flights from London's Gatwick Luton and Stansted, Manchester, Dublin, Cork, Durham Tees Valley, Cardiff, Leeds/Bradford, Isles of Scilly and Edinburgh.

With its world class Atlantic coastline and waves of all sizes year round, combined with striking sunsets and long, sandy beaches with nothing but the sound of the blue sea breaking on the shore, Cornwall has fantastic beaches and surf for learning and progressing. With an average annual temperature of 14 degrees celcius and our Rip Curl wetsuits and boots, you will experience some of the best surfing in Europe.

A trip to Cornwall is ideal for surfers of all abilities, including first-timers. It is perfect for those wishing to enjoy great waves and expert guiding in the hands of the Global Boarders team where you'll be guided to and from the best beaches and coached by a Global Boarders fully qualified British Surfing Association instructor who guarantees to have beginners up and riding by the end of their stay and progressors pushing the boundaries of their surfing capabilities. For groups and Specialist Clinics there is also a chance for some video analysis and surf theory workshops including wave prediction/wave data reading, board care and so on.

For families we provide everything that you might expect in practical terms plus registered child minders who will look after your children in the safety of your accommodation or accompany you to the beach during the day. They are also available to babysit during the evenings. All of our staff have been screened and cleared by The Criminal Records Bureau.

If you choose the fully catered option, all the meals are provided and the cuisine is local - breakfast is served at the house, surf-side lunches are usually at the beach and you can walk or Global Boarders will transfer you to the evening restaurants and sample some of the best which the South West has to offer.

For those who are interested in seeing more of Cornwall we can also organise excursions to sites of interest such as Tintagel (legendary home of King Arthur), The Eden Project, St Michael's Mount, Geevor Tin Mine, St Ives including a visit to Tate St Ives, Lands End, lunch at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant in Newquay (subject to availability), lunch at Rick Stein's restaurant in Padstow (subject to availability)...

Lastly, we would say that if you are looking for a vacation where the emphasis is on partying as opposed to surfing, this is not the trip for you. Whilst we make every effort to make every one of our vacations a fun and exciting experience we also respect the local traditions and customs of wherever we surf. This family run vineyard [2005 International Wine Challenge Gold Medalist] offers the opportunity to tour the vineyard and explore the wine making process and most importantly to taste some outstanding Cornish wines.

Arrival and Transfers
We will greet you at either Newquay Airport or Penzance Railway or Bus stations and transfer you to your accommodation - a contemporary barn conversion in a secluded hamlet just 5 minutes walk from the picture-postcard village of Mousehole. There are a number of fabulous restaurants, pubs and a quaint harbour - all within walking distance of the accommodation.

Breakfast
Begin with a leisurely, self-service breakfast where you can feast on muffins, toast, bagels and organic muesli with lashings of freshly squeezed juice and Fairtrade tea and coffee.

Instruction & Equipment
At apx. 10am you will be picked up and taken to the beach by your dedicated Global Boarders surf instructor who will have already checked which beach has the best conditions. Onboard he or she will have your boards and suits [although guests are more than welcome to bring their own equipment should they wish]. At the beach we will provide safe storage for your property, and then you'll then receive two hours coaching before lunch and two hours coaching after lunch. Travelling and from the beaches takes you through the varied landscapes of Cornwall from the rugged, rural beauty of Zennor to the dramatic cliff drops around Sennen and Lands End.

Lunch
Time to relax on the beach and enjoy a surf-side picnic which will be provided by Global Boarders. Many of the beaches have their own excellent cafes and bars for more essential sugar breaks!

Dinner
You can walk or we will transfer you further afield to and from a specially selected restaurant [a different one each night] where we guarantee the menus and locations are the best which West Cornwall has to offer. A three course set menu is included with a glass of wine per person. All of this is part of your package. After dinner you can stroll through Mousehole to one of the local bars where you can have a quiet drink, catch a band or you can return to base, to relax and contemplate your progress.

Departure and Transfers
After breakfast on the day of your departure we'll transfer you to back to either Newquay Airport or Penzance. All guests will receive a Global Boarders / BSA diploma.
